Dan Oman has more than three decades of environmental management experience, including more than 16 years in environmental construction. His responsibilities have ranged from initial field investigations through final design and construction, including the development of work plans, conceptual designs, permit applications, closure plans, contract documents, and documentation reports.
His areas of expertise include heavy metals stabilization, disposal facility design, site investigations, remediation design and construction, regulatory liability management, mergers and acquisitions, due diligence, expert testimony, risk communications and community relations.
As construction engineering manager for HCS, Dan is responsible for the engineering design for design/build and design/bid/build projects. He has the responsibility for pulling together the design team and also for its interface with the construction team, so that changes encountered in the field are managed in a way that keeps the project on schedule and on budget.
Dan earned a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Wisconsin at Madison and a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware.
