As president of HCS, Walter provides managerial oversight to all projects, from contract administration, value engineering, constructability reviews and selection, oversight of subcontractors, construction health & safety, risk management and claims avoidance.
His experience includes managing the development and implementation of project scope and schedule, estimating, risk assessment, and project execution on agency construction management, construction management at risk, turnkey design/build, and self-perform services. His background includes project execution on remedial construction, emergency response, fuel systems construction, renewable construction, and operations and maintenance.
Throughout his 20-year career in environmental, renewable and heavy civil construction, Walter has been responsible for project profitability and execution of construction agreements of many sizes and shapes, and is expert at managing all contract types, from time and materials to cost plus fixed fee, shared risk/shared savings, lump sum, and guaranteed fixed price contract methods.
Walter earned an MBA from University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Health and Safety from Madonna University in Livonia, MI.
